On-screen and computerised editing systems can speed up workflow, improve quality and consistency, and therefore save cost.
Traditionally publishers provide copy-edited hard copy for us to correct at text capture or proof stage. Many publishers still adopt this approach, although many are now asking their editors to correct the author files on screen before the script is submitted to us. We can work with any system of workflow that you think is appropriate, though all manuscripts still go through the same, rigorous text capture and clean-up operations before we begin typesetting.
